Advice on geotechnical issues is provided by undertaking geotechnical site investigations and associated foundation and ground improvement analysis to enable the geotechnical risks of development to be defined and controlled.

- Comprehensive desk studies covering a historical data review,geological conceptualisation, mining assessment and preliminary ground condition assessment
- Planning, designing and organising site soils investigations – both intrusive (boreholes or trail pits) and non-intrusive using geophysical techniques
- A comprehensive range of site investigation methods to suit each individual location
- Expert field observations and soil logging (to Eurocode 7) as standard with appropriate in situ geotechnical testing
- Specification of relevant laboratory testing
- Option of ground gas investigation and monitoring if required
- For developments involving a basement, a Basement Impact Assessment (BIA) can be incorporated to meet particular regional requirements to satisfy flooding and subsidence covering hydrology, subterranean flow and slope stability
